I have been with Bird Dog since the beginning of our construction division in September of 2022. From the beginning, I found value in the Bird Dogma, especially the fourth point: We never stop improving, ever. I list this one first for myself because I not only want to grow to be a great leader, but I also apply the idea to our properties. We never stop improving our properties because it creates a great guest experience and employee experience. My professional journey within hospitality has been marked by significant growth, especially through continuing education and mentorship. The dynamic nature of hospitality excites me, as no two days or properties are alike. Each day brings with it different challenges that require unique solutions, it’s extremely rewarding.

I’ve been part of the team at EverSpring Suites for a year and a half, coming up on two years this September! I work as both a Guest Room Attendant and Breakfast Attendant, and one thing I really value about Bird Dog Hospitality is our commitment to dependably driving results. I genuinely care about our guests and take pride in making sure their rooms are spotless and their stay is as enjoyable as possible. I love chatting with them in the hallways or during breakfast, getting feedback, and making sure they feel at home. Being part of this team has helped me grow a lot professionally. I’ve taken on more responsibility inspecting rooms, helping out wherever needed, and stepping into a leadership role when I can. What I enjoy most is seeing our guests happy and being part of a team that feels like a little family.

My name is Alondra Vazquez and I’m a current team member at Holiday Inn Express in Cedar Rapids, IA and am honored to be part of the team as front desk associate. In the 9 months I’ve been here, I’ve grown to love the Bird Dogma & its third point, constantly keeping a positive attitude. I adore building genuine connections with each guest, making them feel at home and valued. Whether it’s a helpful recommendation or simply brightening someone’s day. My goal at the Holiday Inn is to create a positive environment that shines through in everything I do. I truly enjoy making sure every guest has a memorable experience; it fuels me to see their face light up when they feel genuinely cared for. It’s all about creating those little moments of connection and spreading positivity every day!

Working with Bird Dog has been such a blessing after working with the previous owners for 8 years. Bird Dog is like we are working as a team, a family that keeps growing together. Watching Bird Dog grow from 2016 when they began their hotel investing has been quite exciting. We have become such a strong group of individuals that want nothing more than to provide a great experience for guests as well as taking care of each other.
